LMS Defense Home Defense 11-12 Feb. 2012 Hayward, Ca

Josh Jackson:
Yesterday we wrapped up our Home Defense course in Hayward Ca.  This course has gone through many evolutionary changes since its inception several years ago and I think that the course has reached maturity.  Topics covered included single person slow and deliberate movement in a structure, single person reactive movement in a structure, home defense planning, weapon selection and ballistics, law enforcement interaction both during and after a violent encounter in the home, family member rescues, low light tactics and more.  The live fire component that has always been present in the course was deleted and force on force scenario based training was used throughout both days.  For many students this was their first opportunity to use force on force training and it provided many valuable lessons.  Thank you to all that attended and to Lisa for being an tireless home intruder.
