Limited loaner equipment available

This is an advanced skills course that expands the sniper’s capabilities to include operations in no-light conditions. Precision riflemen will confirm data and engage targets to at least 800 yards during daylight operations, then transfer these skills to night operations to the maximum distance of their platform’s capability.

Procedures specific to no-light sniper operations are taught including observation, target identification and spotting, judging effects of weather, sniper team communication and applying shot corrections. Familiarization with equipment to support no-light sniper operations and conduct of sustainment training is emphasized.
